This scheme applies to all industrial and commercial packaging used by professionals, except those already subject to a previous EPR scheme. It particularly extends to sectors beyond the food service industry.
What Does the Regulatory Framework Entail?
The specific obligations are now established. Companies are required to:
Report the amount of packaging placed
on the market,
Pay financial contributions to support waste sorting and recycling,
Optimize their practices to reduce environmental impact.
